It is perhaps the science that has made the greatest contribution to the development of human thought -from works such as those of Malinowski, Levi-Strauss or Geertz-, where the fundamental aspect is the interpretative character oriented to the search for meanings. Culture is a dynamic phenomenon, and is easily transmitted through diverse social mechanisms. The anthropological research that we have developed is linked to the preservation of the culture and identity of the native peoples of America.
The function of anthropology, in a way, is to give meaning to some community of men and make it understandable. Taking into account the impossibility of understanding social facts in a finished form, the role of anthropologists consists in interpreting the key symbols of each culture, which is possible through a dense description of the phenomena that can be the object of research.
