In the current process of globalization, we face environmental problems that are international in that they are present in some form in all nations and their solutions can be effectively managed only through cooperation among states and an awareness of the importance of respecting ecosystems. The widely recognized link between poverty, population pressures and environmental degradation is a challenge to the capacities of states and urban planning. In the field of architecture, environmental challenges bring to the center of the debate the need to start implementing construction techniques and using environmentally friendly materials. It is from this perspective that we have elaborated several architectural works, where topics such as waterproofing, degradation of urban architectural heritage, design and elaboration of architectural projects, basic aspects of ecological and integral architecture, focused on the needs and demands of the client, have been discussed.
It has been argued that postmodernism is characterized by the return of "wit, ornament and reference" in architecture, in response to the formalism caused by the international style of the modern movement. It is in architecture, as well as in other fields of human action, that the most pronounced and visible ideas of this movement are reflected. the functional and formalized forms and spaces of the modernist style are replaced by diverse aesthetics; through the collision of styles, the adaptation of form for its own sake, and new ways of seeing styles and spaces. it can be said that in postmodernism architects rediscovered the expressive and symbolic value of architectural elements and forms that had been developed in the past, which had been abandoned by the modern style.
